Tutoring Policy &
Terms of Service.
Please read these terms carefully. By making a payment for any tutoring session or package you acknowledge and accept the terms and conditions set out below. These are the terms you agree to when you tick the agreement box at checkout.
We’ll Do Our Best
Electrical tutoring online (herein referred to as the Service) and anyone engaged on behalf of Electrical tutoring online providing tutoring for the Service, will not be held responsible or accountable for the learning outcomes of any person being tutored by the Service.
While sincere and professional efforts are made to assist in the learning of persons being tutored, no promise or benefit whether it be actual or inferred, is made on behalf of the Service.
Session Terms & Conditions — Bookings
Session bookings are established by mutual agreement between tutor and learner. The booking is a formal arrangement and both parties are obligated to engage in the agreed session unless other arrangements have been reached in accordance with our changes and cancellation policy.
Changes & Cancellations
This policy is to address the impact of student cancellations and changes on the Service.
A “last minute” cancellation is a change to an agreed meeting time that does not provide sufficient time to fill a vacated booking with another client.
A “no show” is where the person being tutored does not notify the tutor before the commencement of the scheduled session, via email, that they are unable to attend the session. A session will be cancelled after 10 minutes of non-attendance after the agreed session time and deemed to be a “no show”.
Pay-As-You-Go bookings require 24 hours’ notice to change or cancel bookings in order to avoid forfeiting the session fee. It is at the discretion of the Service to determine if less than 100% of the fee is forfeited.
Package deals are provided with greater flexibility for cancellations and changes made within 24 hours. Last minute changes and cancellations are acceptable at the Service’s discretion. 2 last minute session changes are allowed in a 5 session pack and 3 altered sessions in a 10 session pack is acceptable. Repeated cancellations or changes which impact the Service will be discussed and expectations explained before restrictions are placed on a learner in respect to a package deal flexibility arrangement.
Payment
Payments for tutorial sessions are paid in advance.
For session packages, the payment is made in advance for all sessions in that package.
Bookings are not secured until either the respective session fees are cleared in the Service’s account, or a receipt is presented to the satisfaction of the Service to verify the successful transaction.
Refunds
Pay-As-You-Go payments are not refundable unless a request for session changes or cancellation of the session is made with at least 24 hours’ notice.
Session Package Plans are entitled to refunds according to the Service’s refund policy below.
Package plans are to be used within 6 calendar months of payment unless other mutually agreed arrangements between the Service and the Learner who made the payment are reached. If a package plan remains unused for a period of 6 months, the balance of unused package plan fees is forfeited to the Service.
Package plans with unused sessions within 6 calendar months of payment may be refunded at 50% of the unused package plan that was paid (after discount).
Unused sessions do not apply to “no shows” or last minute cancellations by the person being tutored. “No shows” and last minute cancellations forfeit any refund for the session that was missed.
Introductory sessions that form part of a package plan and are within 6 calendar months of the payment of the package may, for the intended learner, be fully refunded after an introductory half hour session, if the learner is not satisfied with the tutorial service. Once a second tutorial session in the package is initiated, a full refund is only entitled at the discretion of the Service.
Payment for sessions is recognised as an acknowledgment and acceptance of these terms and conditions.
